Introducing Charlotte, the Shkirt. A skirt made from a shirt.

Charlotte features an adjustable waistband that accommodates waists from 27–30.45 inches (68.5–78.5 cm) and can be worn high or low on the waist. Sculptural draping, pleats at the back, and French seams complete the design.

Charlotte began life as a single 100% cotton yellow and blue striped men's button-down shirt. Carefully taken apart, stitch by stitch, the shirt was reconstructed by hand into a one-of-a-kind skirt. Nothing is cut away, discarded, or wasted.

The original shirt lives on: the chest pocket is now the side pocket, the collar and cuffs form the waistband, and the sleeves became the front panels.

Each Shkirt is handmade in New York and can be custom tailored upon request.

IMPORTANT: Upon checkout, please add a note to your order that specifies: Your waist measurement (in inches), Your hip measurement (optional), and any other notes for tailoring.
