The TCF Quilted Shoulder Bag’s story begins in London where the deadstock fabric from high-end, industry excess is initially sourced. Every piece of fabric is chosen by Gizem Alemdar and Bahar Kaplan, the founders of ODD END, who carefully select deadstock and leftover fabric destined for the landfill. When sourcing material, Gizem and Bahar prioritize quality and longevity. Once the material is sourced, it is transported to Istanbul where the production process begins. Alemdar and Kaplan have been in Istanbul to oversee the entire production process, ensuring working conditions and quality are acceptable. The seamstresses are fairly compensated, and are contracted out for project-based work. ODD END has an ongoing relationship with their seamstresses. The simplistic, yet classic design of the bag makes for a seasonless piece, made to last years. Once the bag is completed it is packaged in recycled materials and sent to a shipment center, headed straight to you. This bag has lived in 2 countries, given new life to discarded fabric, and traveled hundreds of miles to earn a permanent spot in your wardrobe. We hope you love this bag and wear it with pride, knowing that you are embodying fashion and choosing to better the planet with your conscious shopping choice.
