The Mercury Recycled Leather Vest's story begins in America, where the recycled leather scraps are sourced from high-end remnants to be rebound. AS by DF uses modern technology to create supple, luscious leather from what would otherwise be wasted. When bounding the leather, Polyurethane acts as a base for adhesion to create a resistant leather. The manufacturer creating the recycled leather has been audited and received certifications for their work. The process uses 90% fewer emissions and water than normal leather tanning. AS by DF is on a mission to constantly provide the best leather available on the market today. Following the sourcing and creation of the recycled leather, the material is sent to Los Angeles where the vest is assembled. Once the vest is completed, it is packaged in 100% recyclable material, and transported to a shipment center headed straight to you. This vest has lived in 2 countries, traveled hundreds of miles, and provided a second life to discarded leather, to earn a permanent spot in your wardrobe.
